Location: Work in Eastwood (Night Shift!)
Your Technical Profile
2 years of solid networking knowledge, including OSI model, IP protocols, subnetting, and routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, TCP/IP)
2 years' level of proficiency in VLAN configuration and troubleshooting
Familiarity with monitoring and support tools such as Logic Monitor, ServiceNow, and VMware VeloCloud Edge/Orchestrator (preferred)
Strong ability to quickly assess customer issues, triage complex problems, and manage incidents/escalations
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with Juniper, Cyan, ALU/Nokias, CISCO ME3400/ME3600, Ciena, Accedian and Adva is a plus!
1-2 years of experience in a network environment
Knowledge of SD-WAN products and services (preferred!)
Experience with Cisco Meraki, Cradlepoint, Digi, or other switch/routing technologies (a plus!)
Your Impact Starts here
Install, disconnect, configure, and support network equipment (routers, switches, proxy servers, WAN accelerators, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Troubleshoot firewalls, routing, and switching to maintain network performance and security.
Investigate network issues related to service removals.
Update inventory systems after circuit removal.
Report network status and flag any potential disconnection-related incidents or downtime risks.
Update monitoring tools to disable alarms for the NOC.
Coordinate with operations teams to verify services and equipment tied to disconnected networks.
