As a Network Technician...
You'll be responsible for researching and removing configurations for customer facing services. This position requires applied abilities and experience with OSP layer 1 through 3 types of configurations connecting to and/or across the backbone.
Ideal Technical Profile
What you'll bring (Experience)
5+ years of production-facing Linux experience required
Experience with Ethernet and Layer 2 routing
Strong understanding of TCP/IP and BGP
CCNA is a plus
Experience with Juniper, Cyan, ALU/Nokias, CISCO ME3400/ME3600, Ciena, Accedian and Adva.
Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow)
Understanding/previous experience with SD-WAN environment a plus
Experience with LogicMonitor, ServiceNow

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to attend out-of-hour monthly meetings

Technical Support & Client Communication
Installing, disconnecting, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
Troubleshooting firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
Investigating discrepancies in the network related to the services being removed
Updating inventory systems after removal of circuit.
Reporting network status to key stakeholders should potential disconnection related incidents and issues be found. This includes detection of potential device or network unavailability
Updating production monitoring tools to ensure that alarms are disabled for the NOC
Collaborate with other operations teams to carry out verification of services and equipment related to the disconnected services.
