What You'll Bring (Experience)
Core Requirements
Ability to recognize service-effecting problems
Ability to work in a team, and solo, to ensure jobs are being completed
Communication
Backup Technologies (Essential)
Datto BCDR – monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting issues
Veeam – monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting issues
ShadowProtect – monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting issues
Server Environments (Essential)
Level 1 Server Administration – Checking basic server functions, based on alerting information, user administration, and monitored patching where required.
Network troubleshooting - including basic network functionality, DNS troubleshooting, firewall management
VMware management experience (1+ years) – Connecting to a VMware server, and checking VM status, basic troubleshooting of issues
Remote Management Tools experience – iLO, iDRAC, etc.
Networking Systems (Preferred)
Sophos Firewalls experience – checking device status, reviewing potential issues before escalating
Routing and switching concepts
Network troubleshooting – Ability to troubleshoot basic issues prior to escalation
Internal Systems Experience (Preferred)
Connectwise PSA
Datto RMM
Sophos Central

Works well both independently and as part of a team
Highly detail oriented with strong accuracy in all tasks
Excellent time management; proficient in Word and Excel
Able to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Strong communication skills fluent in written and spoken English

Technical Support & Client Communication
At the core of this position, a NOC technician team member will have to maintain high a customer service focus. It is vital that this team considers the needs of our clients as a primary focus.
As part NOC team you will need a strong drive to maintain focus on reviewing alerting tickets, and improving the alerting coming into the systems. A desire to ensure our systems have as high an uptime as possible.
Beyond the daily tasks and responsibilities, you will need to be able to attend team meetings that may be out of hours for their shift. VITG works with Family values, and every team member should be willing to go the extra mile to ensure they are an integral part of our team.
