Ideal Candidate Profile

What You'll Bring (Experience)

  • Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.

  • Troubleshooting firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security

  • Investigating faults in the network.

  • Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases.

  • Reporting network status to key stakeholders.

  • Acts as second tier in identifying production related incidents and issues. This includes detection of system, application, or performance degradation or unavailability.

  • Employs production monitoring tools to ensure that all systems & applications are running and available.

  • Collaborate with other operations teams to carry out regular system, application, and hardware tasks.

  • Ensures effective communication with internal customer.

Your Impact Starts Here

  • 5+ years of production-facing Linux experience required

  • Fundamentals of managing Linux and knowledge of common commands like:

  • top, ps, grep, top, iostat required

  • Strong understanding of BGP and OSPF, CCNA required

  • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow) preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Ability to attend out of hours monthly meetings

  • Self-starter, focused, and motivated

  • Understanding/previous experience with SD-WAN environment

  • Experience with Logic Monitor, ServiceNow, VeloCloud (VMware)

  • Edge/Orchestrator preferred.
