As a Server Systems and Network Engineer...
Own advanced technical support, solve complex incidents, optimize client infrastructure, and act as a key escalation expert working with clients, internal teams, and vendors to deliver high-impact solutions and continuous improvements.
Ideal Technical Profile
We’re looking for an experienced IT professional with 3+ years in technical support or consulting roles, ideally in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
Must-Have Experience
3–5 years MSP / managed services experience supporting multiple clients
Strong Microsoft 365 & Azure AD (Entra ID) skills – Exchange Online, Intune, Conditional Access, SharePoint
Windows Server administration – Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V, patching, RDP
Networking fundamentals – DNS, VPN, firewall configuration (Fortinet, Meraki, WatchGuard, Check Point), email security (SPF/DKIM/DMARC)
Strong English communication skills (written & spoken) for Australian clients (email, calls, Teams)
Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve high-priority issues (P1/P2 tickets)
Highly Desirable
Security tools experience (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Huntress, EDR platforms)
VoIP/3CX administration and support
Experience delivering small IT projects (migrations, deployments, onboarding)
Awareness of cybersecurity frameworks (Essential Eight, compliance standards)
MSP tools experience (HaloPSA, N-able N-central, or similar platforms)

Manage Escalations and Ticket Resolutions
Address issues and service requests that relates to all technology, from workstations, servers, tablets, printers, phones, networks, vendor specific hardware, and software
Monitoring and Management of System Alerts
Proactively monitor various IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications, to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
Systems Maintenance and Administration
Perform serving patching, CVE remediation, Windows update management, network and security updates and telephony administration
Project Delivery Capability
15% of your work is project-based and increasing in this category. Involving multi-day or multi-week engagements. This is a critical differentiator from a pure L1/L2 role.
